Egyptian Deities - Osiris the green-faced god of the Dead
Osiris was one of the major deities of ancient Egypt, the god of the underworld and judge of the dead. Osiris was the husband and sister of Isis and the father of Horus and Anubis. He was depicted as a mummy wearing the royal crown of Upper Egypt.

Egyptian Deities - Set aka Seth, the evil god
Set was the evil god of darkness, deserts and storms who murdered his brother Osiris. Set was the younger son of Geb, and Nut. Set was depicted with the body of a human and the head of a fox-like animal with a long curved snout, tall rectangular ears.

Egyptian Deities - Isis the beautiful mother goddess
Isis was the goddess of love, beauty, magic, fertility and healing and the daughter of the Earth God, Geb, and the Sky Goddess, Nut. She was the sister of Osiris, Seth and Nephthys. She was also the wife of Osiris, and the mother of the God Horus. Isis is represented in ancient Egyptian art with a headdress that resembled steps but actually represented the royal throne of Egypt. Occasionally Isis was illustrated with a crown consisting of cow horns enclosing a sun disk.

Thoth was the ancient Egyptian god of knowledge, wisdom, the moon and magic. Thoth was the patron of scribes, writing and science and the inventor of the hieroglyphics. Thoth is depicted in ancient Egyptian art as an ibis or as a human with the head of an ibis.

Anubis was the god of the dead, tombs and embalming. Anubis was the son of Osiris and Nephthys and the half-brother of Horus. Anubis was depicted with the body of a man and the distinctive black head of a Jackal or dog.

Egyptian Deities - Sobek, the Crocodile god
Sobek is one of the most iconic deities and was the ancient crocodile god of strength and power. Sobek was depicted as an ordinary crocodile, or as a man with the head of a crocodile often wearing an elaborate crown, the Hemhem, set on ram horns.

Egyptian Deities - Bastet, the Cat Goddess
Bastet (also known as Bast) was the cat goddess that represented both the home and the domestic cat and the war-like aspect of a lioness. Bastet the cat goddess was credited with killing the Evil Serpent god Apep.

Ma'at was the goddess of truth, justice, morality and balance. Ma'at sat in judgment over the souls of the dead in the Judgment Hall of Osiris where the heart of the deceased was placed on a scale, balanced by her symbol, the Feather of Ma'at.
